The Hotel Riu Plaza España has been a focal point of Madrid’s skyline for decades. Long considered the first skyscraper in the city, the structure was inaugurated in 1953, baptized with the name “From Madrid to Heaven” and remains a tourist destination.

Towering above its surroundings, the 27-floor hotel today features a new addition that will wow visitors: a transparent glass walkway that offers an unforgettable experience for visitors.

The walkway is 22 feet long and 5.9 feet wide. It is suspended 383 feet off the ground. Following strict security measures, the glass laminators, Luxglass Technology based in Germany, selected Pujol’s AB-AR structural interlayer.

The project also features laminated glass railings with the Evalam Visual interlayer illuminated with LEDs.
