Vitro Glass Introduces New Tinted Glass Kit

December 17th, 2020 | Category: Industry News

Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass) has introduced a new Tinted Glass Kit featuring a range of uncoated blue, green, gray and bronze glasses. The foam-free package contains 4- by 6-inch uncoated samples of Solexia, Atlantica, Azuria, Solarblue, Pacifica, Optigray, Solargray, Graylite II and Solarbronze glasses.

The samples are packaged in a compact box that is easier to ship, story and carry and ismore environmentally friendly than previous Vitro glass sample boxes, according to the company.

Nathan McKenna, marketing and innovation manager for Vitro Architectural Glass, says the refreshed sample kit provides design professionals with an improved tool for evaluating glass aesthetics.

“By providing only uncoated tinted glass substrates, architects and designers can now quickly and easily evaluate each product’s true color,” he says. “Design professionals can then optimize performance and aesthetics for their projects by combining the tints with a range of Solarban solar control low-E coatings or Vistacool or Solarcool reflective coatings. Plus, the new, compact packaging makes the kit easier to manage and easier on the environment.”
