FTI to Host Building Envelope Seminar

The program, titled “Windy City Skins,” will address the impact of fenestration on thermal performance, digital workflows integrating façade design and delivery, and wind effects on tall buildings and urban habitats. It will be held, in conjunction with the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), at IIT’s Hermann Hall campus facility, located at 3241 South Federal Street in Chicago. It runs from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and will award three AIA learning units credits.
Speakers include Yu Zhu of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Mark Chiu of Thornton Tomasetti, Mark Van Dalen of CLEB, Lucas Tryggestad of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Rolando Cano of Contract Glaziers Inc., Brad Groenenboom of Schuco, Peter Simmonds of Building and Systems Analytics, and Russell Gilchrist of Gensler.
