Pearl Valley Designs Forms, Joins Forces with Entelechy
February 16th, 2017 | Category: Featured News, Industry NewsTwo industry veterans have formed a new preconstruction services company, then partnered with another longstanding business to offer a one-stop shop of capabilities.
Brandon Duvall and Junaid Motiwala, previously senior manager and senior designer with Benson Industries, respectively, started Pearl Valley Designs (PVD) in October 2016. PVD provides design, drafting, management and consulting services to the glazing industry.

“I worked many years as a senior project manager for some of the major curtainwall installers,” says Duvall. “One thing that was always difficult for me was trying to close out out a project and starting the next one. I would be left depending on a drafter or somebody who did not have the experience needed to provide a value added preconstruction service.”
Duvall and Motiwala decided to address this void.
“We felt that preconstruction project group was a missing piece to the puzzle,” he says. “And now as the markets pick up, companies are trying to stay lean, and they’re always looking to shift risk or add value in different ways.”
Since its inception, PVD has been working with a variety of manufacturing and glazing firms. Motiwala handles the design and drafting production work, while Duvall tackles business development and consulting.
The company also recently partnered with Entelechy Corp. of Reno, Nev. Entelechy, founded 25 years ago by president Stan Gibbons, provides drawing and modeling services to the industry.
“Their approach to unique designs, management, and industry experience combined with our passion, experience, and innovative technology make for an exceptional resource to the glass and glazing industry,” reads an announcement on Entelechy’s website regarding the partnership.
“Together, we’re a full-service pre-construction team,” adds Duvall, “doing everything from design and consulting to 2D drafting and 3D modeling. Stan is very innovative—he’s always looking at the next best thing. I liked the mindset he has in approaching the industry.”
Motiwala, based in Seattle, was formerly a senior designer at Benson and Walters and Wolf. Duvall, based in Cincinnati, has served as a senior manager with Benson, National Enclosure, Harmon and Enclos.
