Ennead Architects Selected to Design Expansion to Westmoreland Museum of Art
July 27th, 2011 | Category: Industry NewsThe Westmoreland Museum of American Art has selected Ennead Architects to design its expansion and renovation project. Susan Rodriguez, design partner, and Timothy Hartung, management partner, will lead the Ennead design team.
“Creating this expansion is an intriguing, yet complex design opportunity: we believe that the artful and responsible transformation of the building and site will support the Museum’s vision for the future and strengthen its position as a leading arts institution,” says Rodriguez.
Sixty-three firms from across the country submitted proposals to an RFQ issued by the Museum in early December 2010.
“We are pleased to be partnering with such a strong architectural firm. During the interview process, the Ennead people expressed the importance of creating a ‘sense of place’ and crafting beautiful things that tell a story and that is very important to us,” says Judith H. O’Toole, director/chief executive officer.
