Ferrari World Opens New Facility
December 1st, 2010 | Category: Featured NewsYas Island (Abu Dhabi) has become home to Ferrari World’s newest complex. The complex features 10,000 meters of solar control glass that were used to create a “funnel” of daylight in the center. The solar control glass allows the facility to use natural daylight, but also maintain a comfortable temperature for those inside.
Made of ipasol neutral 48/27 and coated with ipachrome design the complex will include an amusement part and Formula One track while displaying the largest Ferrari logo in the world. The building’s red exterior is a combination of aluminum paneling, 6,000 meters of solar control glass, and screen printing.
The general contractor on the project was Sixconstruct and Benoy, based out of London, served as the architect.
