JEB Serves as Glass Supplier for Philadelphia Convention Center Expansion

June 2nd, 2010 | Category: Featured News

JE Berkowitz (JEB) in Pedricktown, N.J., served as the glass supplier for the expansion project of the Philadelphia Convention Center. By completion of the project, JEB will have supplied more than 70,000 square feet of heat treated PPG 5/16-inch Solarban 60 insulating glass units with special light grey silicone.

The $700 million convention center, due to open March 2011, is expected to be the largest state-funded project ever. This renovation will expand the center’s total square footage to 1 million square feet, of which 541,000 will be reserved for exhibit space.

“This type of project is a perfect economy booster. It has provided hundreds of jobs in the construction phase and will continue to support the local economy well after completion. These are projects we are proud of and excel at,” says Robert Price, director of sales at JEB.
