CSI Construction Education Network Now Recognized in North Carolina
March 4th, 2009 | Category: Industry NewsThe North Carolina Board of Architecture now recognizes the Construction Specification Institute’s (CSI) Construction Education Network (CEN), which offers programs on a variety of topics, including many related to glass and glazing, as an “approved sponsor” of continuing professional education courses and programs for architects licensed by the Board.
CSI CEN is a network of registered education providers offering programs to professionals in construction-related industries. Some of the glass and glazing topics covered include fire-rated glass, structural glass, impact-resistant glass, float glass manufacturing and architectural products and many others.
“Our CEN program has experienced tremendous growth in recent years and we’re delighted that the North Carolina Board of Architecture has recognized that CSI’s providers offer high-level continuing education to the industry,” says CSI executive director and CEO Walter Marlowe, P.E., CSI, CAE. “Now our members in the Tar Heel State can be confident that any CSI CEN courses they take will be approved and accepted by the state Board.”
Features of the CEN include:
· A directory of available programs searchable by topic, occupation and provider;
· Access to transcripts and completion certificates in real-time at no cost; and
· The ability to manage training information online.
In addition, providers can use the web-based system to produce completion certificates and receive email alerts when new credits have been entered.
